Club Projects
The Conway Lions Club is much involved with our community.
We live, work, and play here and beleive in the efforts of
our clubs. Following are just a few projects we are active
in throughout the year.
Following are a few of the projects the Conway Lions Club
is involved in:
Eye Glass Purchases: We purchase eye glasses
primarily for children in school or adults who need eye glasses
for employment.
Hearing Aids: The Lions Club purchases refurbished
hearing aids for those in need or hearing device.
Bicycles: Each Christmas the Lions Club
of Conway purchase over 90 new bikes and over 25 repaired
bikes for needy children in the Horry County and surrounding
areas.

Leader Dog School: Club donates to Leader
Dog School for Blind. Leader Dog trains dogs to be used as
guide dogs. Blind persons are training through the program
for one month to be lead by guide dog. This program is at
no cost to the blind peron sent.
Dixie Youth: Each year the Conway Lions Club
sponsors a Dixie Youth Baseball team through the Conway Recreation
Department.
Eye Donors: The club solicits eye donor forms
where one can donate there eyes for others. This is done by
utilizing the corneas from the donors eyes.

needing children through the Salvation Army at Christmas.
Donations: Donates to the United Way, Salvation
Army, South Carolina Lions, Inc.. and other organization in
