Thanks to our sponsors and donors, Cheraw Lions Club for over 25 years runs Food Bank which provides food supplies for individuals and families affected by sudden tragedies, disasters, sickness, eviction and other emergency situations. Every year we help in average of over 300 needy families and individuals to go back on their feet. Since we are not investigating any individual case, any person who might qualify to receive a food basket, should contact DSS, EOC, American Red Cross or other organization for a referral letter after complete an application. Food Bank is located in Robert Small School at Front Street and is open Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, except holidays, between 9:00AM and 11:00 AM.

Cheraw Lions Club helps low income individuals to have their prescription glasses. This project is possible thanks to Dr. Kay Bullard, who keeps low prices for glasses for years, and to her staff. In May 1, 2007 Dr. Bullard was awarded with Thank You plaque, for her long time dedicated service to the community during our meeting. District Governor Randy Croom presented an award.
