MEMBERSHIP GROWTH AWARD

 

Two (2) awards will be given:

 

1.        MOST NEW MEMBERS

The club with the most new members inducted from July, 1 2007 through June 30, 2008.

 

2.        HIGHEST PERCENT OF MEMBERSHIP GAIN

The club with the highest percent in membership growth from July 1, 2007 through June 30, 2008.

 

ZONE MEMBERSHIP AWARD

 

This award is given to the Zone Chair with the largest net increase of members in the District

 

RETENTION AWARD

 

Any club that has 100% retention of members enrolled on July 1, 2006.  Deaths and Transfers will not count against the club.

 

NEW CLUB SPONSER AWARD

 

Any club sponsoring a new Lions, Lioness, or Leo club.

 

BULLETIN CONTEST AWARD

 

Club bulletins will be judged by the Vice District Governor and the Zone Chairpersons.  Awards for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places will be presented to the selected clubs.  Copies of bulletin must be sent to judges monthly in order to participate. Contest starts in July 2007 and ends in May 2008.

BULLETIN EDITORS AWARD

An award will be presented to the editor of the bulletin judged most outstanding in the opinion of the above listed group of judges.

 

NEW CLUB PROJECT AWARD

 

An award will be given to any club that initiates a new club project.  Projects have to be based on “Humanitarian Service” and completed free of any fund raising activity.

 

LION OF THE QUARTER AWARD

 

Individual Lions can be nominated for this award which is given for outstanding service to Lionism and the community. Zone Chairpersons will select the winner from nominations received. Nominations should be sent to the District Governor in October, January, and April.

 

 

DISTRICT GOVERNOR’S CONTEST

 

The District Governor’s contest is open to all clubs. It is used to promote and share club activities.  Awards will be given to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place club finishers. Contest starts as of July 1, 2007 and ends June 30, 2008

 

VISITATION AWARD

 

Award is given to any club that makes a total of six (6) interclub visits.  The club must have two or more members visiting all clubs in its zone and any additional clubs in the district.  (Repeat visits to the same club do not count)

 

CANDY DAY AWARD

 

This award is given to the club that makes the largest financial contribution per member to South Carolina Lions Charitable Services, Inc. prior to January 1, 2008.

 

LEADERDOG FOR THE BLIND AWARD

 

This award is given to the club that makes the largest financial contribution per member to Leader Dog for the Blind by April 30th 2008.
